Windows: Try running your DAW as an Administrator. Right-click your DAW icon > Properties > Compatibility > Check "Run this program as an administrator."

Most AD2 issues stem from a file being moved or a partial update. The XLN Online Installer is your best friend here. Close your DAW completely. Open the XLN Online Installer.

Re-download the core engine. This will replace the "Bus Layouts" folder with a fresh version without making you redownload gigabytes of drum samples.

1. Close your DAW completely. Do not skip this.
2. Open the XLN Online Installer (the application you use to download your kits).
3. Look for a cogwheel (Settings) or Advanced menu.
4. Click "Repair / Reset Database" or "Reinstall Missing Content."
5. Specifically look for a checkbox labeled "Reset Mixer Presets" or "Restore Default Bus Layouts."
6. Run the repair. This will take about 60 seconds.
7. Reboot your computer (yes, actually do it).
8. Launch your DAW. AD2 will rebuild the bus layout index from scratch.
