Baidykle Filmas
The Haunting Reel
- Constructed Antagonist – The villain is often an abstraction (ideology, foreign power, social deviance) embodied in a stereotypical figure.
- Moral Simplicity – Good and evil are clearly demarcated; ambiguity is minimized.
- Instrumental Fear – The film is produced or co-opted by institutions (state, church, cultural elites) to deter specific actions or beliefs.

2. Historical Precursors: The Scarecrow in Early Cinema
Long before the term baidykle filmas, early Soviet cinema under Lenin and Stalin produced what might be called scarecrow films. The Strike (1925, Eisenstein) uses montage to turn factory owners into monstrous caricatures, while The Fall of Berlin (1949, Chiaureli) paints Nazis as subhuman scarecrows — not to explore fascism but to frighten Soviet citizens into vigilance and sacrifice. baidykle filmas
