Eagle Craft 116 Updated
Based on the current context surrounding the name "Eagle Craft," this report focuses on Eaglecraft (the offline Minecraft clone) and its ecosystem as of late 2023/early 2024.
- Head Seas: At 22 knots, the boat simply refused to slam. The new variable chine deflected spray down and out, keeping the helm bone dry.
- Following Seas: This is where the old 116 required constant helm attention. The updated version, with its new stern deadrise tweak, tracked like a monorail. We let go of the wheel for five seconds on a steep face—zero broaching tendency.
- Docking: The updated model comes standard with a Zipwake zero-speed interceptor system (not traditional tabs). Docking a 3.8-ton boat in a crosswind was reduced to fingertip control.
Hull and construction
- Material: typically marine-grade aluminum (often 5052 or 5086) or fiberglass in aftermarket/alternate builds.
- Hull form: hard chine with a shallow V forward transitioning to near-flat aft — balances a soft initial ride with good planing at modest speeds.
- Bottom thickness: commonly 2–4 mm aluminum in production models; structural stringers or sealed flotation compartments added in updates.
- Transom: reinforced to accept higher outboard loads in updated models; some updates include integrated anti-cavitation plate alignment and sacrificial anode points.
- Lag and Performance Issues: Adjust your game settings, and consider allocating more RAM to improve performance.
- Mod Conflicts: Identify and resolve mod conflicts to prevent game crashes.
