Emule Server List Auto Update 🎉
eMule Server List: How to Set Up Auto-Update
In the modern era of eMule, finding reliable servers is critical. Many old servers have gone offline, and some IP addresses have been repurposed for malicious use (spam or monitoring). Configuring eMule to automatically update its server list ensures you connect to valid, working nodes and avoid "dead" servers or fake IPs.
- Benefit: This keeps your list fresh while you are using the client.
- Warning: This can sometimes add "fake" servers if you connect to a malicious node. See Step 4 for protection.
Fake servers can:
- Import/export server.met
- Manual signature verification UI (upload public key)
- Blacklist management and pinning
To maintain a clean and functional list, adjust these additional settings in the same Server options tab: emule server list auto update
