The software is not available for public download. Access is restricted to:

• Operating System: Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) or Windows 11. Note: Windows 11 often requires disabling driver signature enforcement for legacy SMS drivers.
• Hardware: Genuine Gent Interface lead (USB-A to USB-B or SMS dongle).
• Admin Rights: You must have local administrator privileges on your laptop.
• Antivirus: Temporarily disable real-time scanning (the tool uses low-level COM port access which AV software may block).
• Backup: If re-installing, back up your existing .vdb and .vcfg site files from C:\Gent\Vigilon\Data.

2. User Permissions

• You must have Local Administrator rights.
• Pro Tip: Do not simply use a domain admin account. Create a local administrator account or ensure UAC (User Account Control) is temporarily set to "Never Notify."
