Gia Vendetti grew up in a close-knit Italian-American family in the North End of Boston. His parents, Anthony and Concetta, instilled in him a strong work ethic and encouraged his passion for sports from a young age. Vendetti's introduction to boxing came courtesy of his father, who enrolled him in the renowned Mike's Gym in Boston's Charlestown neighborhood.
