The front panel VFD display will show status codes: “Updating Main,” “Writing DSP,” “Updating Loader.”
If the unit freezes for more than 30 minutes with no display activity, you have a problem. But in 95% of cases, it will complete.

Download the firmware package (e.g., BDS570_V1.16.zip).
Extract the contents. Look for a file named BDS570.bin (or fwimage.bin).
Copy the .bin file directly to the root of the USB drive (no folders).
Turn off BDS 570 (standby).
Insert USB drive into the front USB port.
Power on the unit. It should automatically detect the update.
Screen will show: “New firmware detected. Update?” → Select Yes.
Do not interrupt power or remove USB during the process (5–10 minutes).
Unit will reboot twice. After completion, remove USB and verify version in System Info.
