Your OFW (Official Firmware) can’t run unsigned PKGs. You must be on HEN or CFW. If you are on HEN, ensure you activate HEN (press R3) before launching the bubble.

Seamless Neighborhood: While the console version has more loading screens than the PC version, it still allows for neighborhood exploration.

Choose Standard (this scans the root of your connected USB drive).

While the PC version famously featured a completely open neighborhood, the PS3 version manages loading zones by dividing the world into smaller, manageable chunks to fit within the console's hardware limitations. Direct Control

  1. Download the The_Sims_3_NPUB90569.pkg and the RAP license file.
  2. In RPCS3, go to File > Install Package/RAP.
  3. Select the PKG file. The game will appear in your game list.

For digital versions, the PKG file must be installed via the Package Manager on the PS3 XMB (XrossMediaBar).
