Charlie is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language adventure drama film directed by Martin Prakkat and written by Prakkat and Unni R. It stars Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy in the lead roles. The film follows the journey of Tessa, a young woman who runs away from home to avoid an arranged marriage and finds herself fascinated by the previous occupant of her new apartment, a mysterious man named Charlie. As she follows the breadcrumbs of his life through sketches and stories left behind, she embarks on a quest to find the enigmatic wanderer.
For creators inspired by the format
Sony Pictures planned a Charlie’s Angels reboot for 2015, though it never fully materialized. A leaked pilot episode or promotional footage is frequently indexed as "Charlie 2015." Search for "Index Of Charlie 2015" often leads to dead links or private trackers hosting this lost pilot.
Plot Summary: The movie "Charlie" tells the story of a teenager named Charlie (played by Jonah Bobo) who suffers from a degenerative muscle disorder. As his condition worsens, Charlie embarks on a journey with his grandfather (played by Alfred Molina) to find a famous blues musician, which becomes a transformative experience for him.
Charlie Hebdo – Following the January 2015 attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, many online archives (including open directories) collected related news reports, images, and videos from 2015.
The film’s impact was cemented at the 46th Kerala State Film Awards, where it swept 8 awards, including Best Actor for Dulquer Salmaan, Best Actress for Parvathy, and Best Director for Martin Prakkat. Its influence can still be seen in South Indian "travel films" that try to capture that same sense of bohemian wonder.
Amazon Prime Video: The film has been made available to international audiences on Prime Video. Charlie (2015) - IMDb
