Step 4: First Boot
- The emulator will now "cold boot" the N95 firmware. This takes 30–60 seconds.
- You will see the classic white Nokia screen, then the animated handshake logo.
- Congratulations! You are now staring at the S60v3 standby screen.

What you need:
- The Core ROM file: Usually named
nokia_n95_rm-159_20.0.015.binor similar. - The ROF2 (ROFS) file: The read-only file system containing the user interface and apps. (e.g.,
rofs2.bin). - The language pack (ROFS3): Optional, for localization.
- Set Sample Rate to 44100 Hz.
- Latency: 50ms (mixable).
EKA2L1 is an experimental Symbian OS emulator that supports S60v1, S60v3, and S60v5 platforms. It allows you to play legendary games and run apps from the Symbian era on Android, Windows, and Linux. - Enable JIT: In
Settings > Emulator, check "Enable JIT." - Warning: The N95 ROM uses FPU (Floating Point) instructions heavily for camera and 3D. If you experience crashes, disable JIT and fall back to the interpreter (slower, but stable).
