Guide: Overclocking Your Android Device with Magisk Modules
Important Disclaimer
Overclocking can permanently damage your hardware (CPU, GPU, battery) if done incorrectly. It increases heat, reduces battery life, and may void warranties. Proceed at your own risk. This guide assumes you have basic knowledge of rooting, Magisk, and terminal commands.
Key Features: GPU performance boosting, RAM management, CPU set tuning, and touch response (Touchpaint) fixes.
Risks (brief)
- Device instability, crashes, bootloops.
- Overheating and reduced hardware lifespan.
- Voiding warranty or tripping bootloader/DM-verity protections.
- Data loss—backup before proceeding.
Step 2: Backup your Boot Image
In Magisk App → Install → Select "Patch Boot Image File." Save this stock image to your PC. If an OC module causes a bootloop, you can restore via Fastboot.
devices. It allows users to manually set CPU/GPU governors to "performance" and disable thermal throttling through a terminal command ( su -c perfmtk CPULock-Magisk
