How to Find Your Proximus Public Wi-Fi Username and Password

Staying connected while on the go in Belgium is essential, and Proximus offers one of the most extensive networks of public Wi-Fi hotspots. However, if you are trying to log in to a "Proximus" or "Fon" hotspot for the first time, you might find yourself stuck on the login screen asking for a username and password.

After digging through router configs, old forum posts, and a dusty user manual from 2013, I’ve discovered the actual default credentials for Proximus public WiFi hotspots (the ones in Brussels Midi, Starbucks, etc.).

Default Username and Password

Proximus public Wi-Fi is a service provided to existing Proximus customers. To access it, you must use the credentials linked to your personal Proximus account (Internet, Mobile, or TV subscription). If you are not a Proximus customer, you cannot use the standard hotspot network for free (though there are workarounds, which we cover below).

On Mobile: A login screen should pop up automatically. Enter your username and password.
