Ps1rombin Bios Top ((better)) -

The PlayStation (PS1) uses a combination of a BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) and a ROM (Read-Only Memory) to function. The BIOS is stored in a chip on the motherboard and provides the basic input/output operations for the console.

  1. Insert your PS1 disc into the PS2 (or just run the BIOS dumper).
  2. Launch "uLaunchELF" on your PS2.
  3. Navigate to Misc -> PS1 BIOS Dumper.
  4. The PS2 will read the PS1 CPU and save SCPH1001.BIN to your USB.
  5. Copy that to your PC. This file is flawless—better than any random download.

Placement: For most emulators like DuckStation or RetroArch, place the BIOS file in the designated system or bios folder. ps1rombin bios top
