- Extract the folder: Your downloaded skin will likely be a
.zipor.rarfile. Inside, there will be a folder named something likeMyNewShimejicontaining aimgfolder and anxmlfile. - Locate the Shimeji Engine: You need a base engine (download the latest
Shimeji-ee.jarfrom GitHub). - The "Conf" Folder: Inside your main Shimeji engine folder, look for a subfolder called
/conf/. - Replace or Add: Drag your new skin folder into
/conf/. - Select the skin: Run the
.jarfile. Right-click the tray icon. Go to "Select Shimeji." Your "UPD" skin should appear.

- XML Encoding: Old skins use

- Path Length: Windows has a 255-character limit. If your skin folder is buried inside
Downloads > New folder > New folder (2) > Shimeji_skin_final_UPD, it will fail. Move the engine toC:\Shimeji\.
