TVS MSP 430 is a 24-wire, 80-column dot matrix printer widely used in India for industrial and commercial trilingual printing. A highly useful feature of its Windows 10 64-bit driver is the ability to enable 24-pin emulation mode

If the setup file doesn't run, right-click it and go to Properties > Compatibility.

  1. Connect the printer via USB-to-Parallel adapter (ensuring the adapter itself had a 64-bit driver installed).
  2. Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  3. Click Add device (let it fail to auto-detect). Then click Add manually.
  4. Select Add a local printer with manual settings.
  5. Choose the USB virtual port (e.g., USB001).
  6. Under Manufacturer, scroll to IBM.
  7. Under Printers, select IBM Proprinter X24.
  8. Click Next through the warnings. Ignore the driver compatibility warning.

Step 1: Prepare the File

Locate the downloaded file in your "Downloads" folder. If it is a .zip file, right-click and select Extract All. If it is an .exe file, you can proceed to the next step.
