TVS MSP 430 is a 24-wire, 80-column dot matrix printer widely used in India for industrial and commercial trilingual printing. A highly useful feature of its Windows 10 64-bit driver is the ability to enable 24-pin emulation mode
If the setup file doesn't run, right-click it and go to Properties > Compatibility.
- Connect the printer via USB-to-Parallel adapter (ensuring the adapter itself had a 64-bit driver installed).
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Click Add device (let it fail to auto-detect). Then click Add manually.
- Select Add a local printer with manual settings.
- Choose the USB virtual port (e.g., USB001).
- Under Manufacturer, scroll to IBM.
- Under Printers, select IBM Proprinter X24.
- Click Next through the warnings. Ignore the driver compatibility warning.
Step 1: Prepare the File
