Why keyboard and mouse aren’t supported natively

• VR Kanojo’s interaction model is centered on hand presence and precise 6DoF controller-based tracking. Many in-game actions depend on object grabbing, finger curling, and positional hand cues that a mouse and keyboard can’t replicate.
• The game’s input mapping targets VR runtime APIs (OpenVR/SteamVR, Oculus SDK). These expose controller pose and button events but not the continuous pointer and keystroke model desktop games use.
• Developers prioritized immersion: animations, gaze-driven prompts, and physics interactions are tied to controller states. Allowing full mouse-driven interactions could break that intended behavior.
• As a result, keyboard/mouse support must be layered on top of the VR input system or emulated by mapping keyboard/mouse events to controller inputs.
