- Use Waves Central’s repair or reinstall functions for corrupted installs.
- For performance issues, try disabling background processes, increasing buffer size, or using Offline Bounce for rendering.
- Check Waves’ support resources for specific error codes or compatibility advisories with your macOS version and DAW.
- Roll back to macOS Mojave 10.14.6 – This is the last OS where Waves 11 runs without compromise.
- Run a Catalina virtual machine using Parallels or VMWare and install Waves 11 inside a clean VM.
- Use Blue Cat’s PatchWork – Load problem Waves plugins inside PatchWork to sandbox crashes.
- Manually repair permissions –
sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Application\ Support/Waves
- Operating System: MacOS 10.14 or later (compatible with MacOS Catalina 10.15)
