To get your 4G hotspot working with your computer, you usually don't need a separate driver download. These devices are designed to be "plug and play" via a virtual CD-ROM that contains the necessary software. Web Interface: Most settings can be managed without drivers by connecting via Wi-Fi and visiting the Web UI (usually 192.168.0.1) in your browser.

a) Windows (7, 8, 10, 11)

  • Native support: Windows 10/11 typically auto-installs using built-in RNDIS (Remote Network Driver Interface Specification) or CDC ECM drivers.
  • Issues: Older Windows 7/8 may require manual installation.
  • Official drivers: ZTE provides an auto-run virtual CD-ROM containing Setup.exe when connected. This installs:

    Open the drive and run the installation program (often an .exe file) to manually install the configuration software and drivers.

    • ZTE Diagnostic port (COM3, COM4, etc.)
    • ZTE NMEA port (for GPS)
    • ZTE NDIS Ethernet adapter
